FAQ’S

When will the next session start?

Our program runs monthly, you can register any time via our parent portal online at www.biggymnastics.com or at the front desk and any missed classes for that 1st month would be prorated.

How many classes per week, per month?

Recreational tuition is based off 1 class per week on average of 4 weeks per month.  Some months you will have 5 classes depending on how the calendar falls.  Tuition is the same each month whether it is a shorter or longer month.  If you’d like to have your child attend more than 1 class per week, you can always sign-up for additional classes at a discount!

When will my credit card be charged?

Tuition is due on the 1st of the month, if you wish to avoid the auto-charge to your card you may pay by cash or check in person prior to the 1st of the month.  If you fail to pay prior to the 1st of the month, your child will lose their spot in class. If your credit card on file declines, we will contact you via email and you will have 5 days to remit payment.

What if I wish to un-enroll for a month?

To un-enroll for a month and avoid the auto-charge you must contact the the office 1 week prior to the charge date (charge date is always the 1st of the month) or you can email the office at biggirlsteam@yahoo.com.  You will receive a confirmation email back within 48 hours.

What if I need to change my child’s class or they move up a level?  How do I know if my child is ready for the next level?

At BIG, we move a child to the next level as soon as they are ready! They do not have to complete the month in order to be moved up.  Once they acquire the skills needed to advance, they will be sent home with a move-up slip from the coach!  Our coaches are trained to identify when a student is ready to move-up and will let you know when that time comes.  However, you can always ask your instructor or stop in the office if you think they are ready or would like to have them individually evaluated.

What is the registration fee?

The registration fee is a fee charged per student at the time of initial registration and due annually.  Once you pay it, it is not due for another year regardless of time you take off from the program.

What is your make-up policy?

At BIG, students are allowed make-ups.  Please check with the office to schedule a make-up.  Please be keep in mind that we strive to keep a safe student to coach ratio and cannot permit unscheduled makeups if it will result in overloading a class.  We are closed on the following major holidays: Easter, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Halloween (close early), Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.  The gym takes approximately a week off between Christmas Eve and New Year’s Day.  During this time the gym will be closed for classes but will be open limited hours for special holiday open gyms. Make-up classes will not be offered for the week off during the Christmas/New Year’s holiday as this week off is already factored into tuition.  Makeups are limited to 2 makeups per student/month.

 Punctuality

We would like to stress the importance of being on time to class in order to help your child progress in the program.  The first few minutes of class is when the students stretch and warm-up. This segment of class is important to help prevent injury and to help establish trust with the coach.  This is also the time when the coach takes attendance.  When a child comes into class late, it can be disruptive.  We ask families to just be mindful of attendance and punctuality and remember, you can schedule a make-up class.

What is the dress code policy?

All gymnasts/ninjas should have their hair pulled back out of their face. Appropriate gymnastics apparel including a leotard or shorts and a fitted or tucked in shirt should be worn. Please do not have your child wear tights or leggings as your child may slip on the equipment.  All ninjas have a ninja shirt that should be worn to each class.  The shirts can be purchased in the office on the first day of class.  They will wear their shirt with a pair of athletic shorts or pants.  No shoes are to be worn inside the gym.  Please no jewelry as it may get lost or broken during class.

Do you have a lost and found?

Yes!  The lost and found is located in the front lobby.  The lost and found will be donated the last Friday of every month.

  Where should I park?

Here at BIG, we are growing and understand that parking can be tight.  Parking on the street is not allowed by the village of Burr Ridge.  We are continuously working with the village and trying to expand our lot to make parking easier on everyone!  Thank you for understanding!
