We are modifying our program’s to accommodate safety procedures for everyone who enters our doors. We have been busy making sure we not only meet industry standards, but exceed them. We are always closely monitoring the situation and looking for guidance from the CDC, The Illinois Department of Public Health, WHO, etc.
As we are all aware these are the steps that are recommended:
-Wash your hands often with soap and water
-Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands
-Avoid close contact with people who are sick
-Stay home when you are sick (we offer makeup classes!)
-Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue and throw the tissue in the trash
-Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipes
We have enacted our prevention plan out of an abundance of caution:
- Class ratios have been modified to ensure separation and help with social distancing
-Please be mindful of social distancing when entering and exiting the building through the front door. There will be markers on the sidewalk to help guide you and remind you to keep a 6 foot distance in between you and the family in front of you.
-Upon entering, the gymnast/ninja will have their temperature taken by a staff member or coach. If your child reads 100 degrees or over, you will politely be asked to leave. If they have been dropped off, we will call the contact number on file for them to be picked up. We ask that if the lobby is congested or there is a back up with people getting their temperatures taken, that you make an orderly line in front of the building using the 6 ft markers.
-Employees and staff will be required to wash their hands after each class and wear a mask when 6 feet distancing cannot remain.
-Hand sanitizer has been placed in public areas for everyone to use, but it is always recommended to have some in your personal bag. We have also installed automatic faucets in all bathrooms, automatic flushing toilets, automatic soap dispensers and auto lighting is coming soon.
-We are not allowing use of the drinking fountain at this time, so please send your child with a water bottle to be left in their cubbies for use during class.
-We will be releasing each class 5 minutes early to allow time for the coaches to sanitizing matting/equipment (with COVID approved products) before the next group of students arrive . We will be using a sanitizer from our equipment company. We will also be sanitizing common areas more frequently (light switches, door handles, etc.).
-For our preschool classes, we will only use props that are able to be sanitized and wiped down (no cloth toys or products). These props will be sanitized between classes.
-Masks WILL be required upon entry of the lobby. We are only allowing 1 guardian in the lobby per student, no additional siblings that are not in a class (once again a mask is required for entry). We are asking parents to please be mindful of unnecessary entry into the lobby as we are trying to minimize the amount of exposure for our high traffic areas. We have removed all tables and chairs in the lobby for cleanliness and safety precautions. Everyone that enters the lobby will be required to have their temperature taken by an infrared thermometer.
-We ask that there is no lingering in the lobby after class, as we are trying to limit the amount of people that are in the lobby at one time. If you have dropped your child off for class, please make sure to pick them up on time to help maintain social distancing from the next incoming group.
- As always, we have professional cleaners, coming 7 days a week. All the carpeted areas will be shampooed and sanitized prior to our re-opening.
-There will be minimal spotting as the students get back into things. IF we do spot, we will be wearing a mask, and sanitizing after.
-Please do not send any child that has shown any sign of illness to class at any time or that has been exposed to any family member that has been ill.
Make no mistake about it, the safety of the children, parents and our staff is paramount. As excited as we are about opening, we pledge to make your stay with us safe and enjoyable. Some of the new protocols you’ll see in each class and some will take place behind the scenes. At any rate, you can feel comfortable in our facility and we are doing everything in our power to keep everyone healthy. We’ve never been more excited to see you all soon.
