Xcel & Pre-Team Coach

Coach Najia (GiGi) graduated from Spelman College in 2022 with a B.S in Psychology-Neuroscience. She is currently affiliated with research work at the University of Michigan, with hopes of eventually pursuing her PhD in Pediatric Clinical Psychology. She brings a lot of experience and knowledge to the gym. She trained and competed for BIG Gymnastics on their J.O track in Burr Ridge, Illinois for many years before leaving the sport. She brings years of coaching experience specializing in all XCEL and Compulsory levels.  During her coaching career, many of her athletes and teams were very successful; achieving Top 3 Team awards and achieving new personal best all around scores of 36s, 37s, and 38s. Fun Fact: She has also had athletes each year place on America’s Top 100! Najia looks forward to working with your kids!
