Matt Flynn
Pre-team & Recreational Coach

Coach Matt started taking gymnastics classes in elementary school.  In high school, he competed for and served as the captain of the York Community High School Boys Gymnastics team!  He performed with the oldest collegiate circus in the nation; while a member of the Gamma Phi Circus, he performed in the acts of Russian Swing, Wall Trampoline, Teeterboard, and Tumbling and Vaulting.  He also worked as a circus summer camp counselor and helped run an after-school circus program.  While at Illinois State University, he studied elementary and middle level education.  While completing his undergraduate degree, he began coaching recreational and competitive gymnastics and continued coaching and traveling on weekends for competitions.  He is currently earning his M.S. Ed in Special Education specifically focused on working with students who are blind and visually impaired.  He is proficient in Braille, assistive technology devices, and white cane skills!
